How do I disconnect or reconnect Instagram?

Disconnect Instagram from Automations or Settings, and reconnect it in a couple of clicks so Loop can pick your conversations back up.

You can disconnect Instagram from your Automations profile header (click Disconnect, then confirm) or from Settings → Channels. To reconnect, go back to Settings → Channels and click Connect — Loop pulls in your live Instagram connection and picks up where it left off.

How do I disconnect Instagram?

From Automations

  1. Open Automations.
  2. In the profile row at the top, click Disconnect next to your connected handle.
  3. A dialog asks you to confirm — Disconnect Instagram? — and explains that @yourhandle will be disconnected, your automations will stop responding, and you can reconnect anytime. Click Disconnect to confirm, or Keep connected to back out.
  4. While the request is in progress, the button shows Disconnecting… — leave the dialog open until it finishes.

From Settings

  1. Open Settings → Channels.
  2. Find the Instagram row and click Disconnect.

Either path fully disconnects the account — your automations stop responding on Instagram until you reconnect.

How do I reconnect Instagram?

  1. Open Settings → Channels.
  2. Click Connect on the Instagram row. Loop checks whether your account is still linked on the Topmate side and pulls that connection in.
  3. If it's not linked there yet, Loop opens Topmate in a new tab so you can finish connecting — come back to Settings → Channels afterward and click Connect again.

Once reconnected, the row shows Connected as your handle, and your existing automations resume responding.

Will reconnecting bring back my automations?

Yes. Disconnecting doesn't delete your automations — it stops Loop from using Instagram until you reconnect. Once you're connected again, your automations in Automations are ready to run as before.
