Why is a conversation waiting for my review?

Understand what "Loop is handling" vs "you're handling" means in Conversations, how to take control of a thread, and how to hand it back.

A conversation is waiting on you when you've taken control of it — either by choice, or because you clicked Take control on a reply Loop suggested. While you hold a thread, Loop pauses on it: no more emails or calls go out on that thread, even ones already scheduled. You can hand it back to Loop anytime.

What does "Loop is handling" actually mean?

In Conversations, every thread header shows who currently holds it. When Loop holds a thread, you'll see a Loop is handling pill next to a Take control button. When you hold it, the pill reads You're handling and the button becomes Hand back to Loop.

Each inbox row also carries a small status dot next to the person's name:

  • Sage — Loop is handling the thread, nothing needs your eye.
  • Ochre — Loop received something new; there's a fresh draft worth reviewing.
  • Loop-Orange ("needs you now") — you've taken control and the agent is paused, waiting on your reply.

Why would I need to take control?

Loop drafts a reply for most incoming messages and shows it at the bottom of the thread as "Loop would send next," with a confidence score. From there:

  1. Looks good — send as Loop. The reply goes out as Loop, and Loop keeps handling the conversation.
  2. Take the wheel & edit. This seeds the draft into your reply box so you can tweak it — and takes control of the thread.

You can also click Take control in the thread header any time, with or without a pending suggestion.

What happens when I take control

Take control opens a confirmation dialog first: no further emails or calls will send on that thread — even ones already scheduled — and Loop won't reply while you hold it. You can hand it back to Loop anytime. If the thread can be replied to on more than one channel, you also pick which one before confirming.

Once confirmed, the composer is yours. If you took control from a suggestion, its text is pre-filled so you can edit rather than start blank.

How do I hand a conversation back to Loop?

Click Hand back to Loop in the thread header. It's reversible either way — Loop resumes immediately, and you can take control again anytime — so there's no confirmation step.

Where can I see this at a glance?
